Collections doubles last year’s More than 125,000 pounds of food (enough for 98,000 meals for Davidson County families) was raised for Second Harvest Food Bank by the Metro Government-wide food drive led by Mayor Karl Dean. Tennessee State University said farewell to its most recent leader on December 15. 300 bikes distributed Two hundred elementary school students, ages five to 10, were given like-new bicycles and new helmets on Dec. 8 as part of Hands On Nashville’s ReCYCLE for Kids program, presented by Cummins and in partnership with the Oasis Center.
