Nashville RBI founder honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Nashville RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) founder Reggie Whittemore was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award during a reception at Lipscomb University on Dec. 4 held in conjunction with Major League Baseball’s annual Winter Meetings, held at the Opryland Hotel & Convention Center Dec. 3-7.

MLB and Nashville RBI teamed up to host the reception and a free baseball skills clinic for kids from the RBI program and other area leagues. Members of the Lipscomb baseball and women’s softball teams served as instructors along with representatives from the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation.
