‘Fiddle diddles of fun’ for little ones

by PRIDE Newsdesk

Introduce some of your favorite nursery rhymes to your children at Creative Discovery Museum’s Preschool Adventure Day on Saturday, September 28 from 10 am to 12 pm.

Jump over the moon with the cow like ‘Hey Diddle, Diddle,’ or make a crown with Old King Cole himself. Nursery Rhyme Time Preschool Adventure Day will let children experience favorite nursery rhymes as they are acted out by area high school students. Children will also be able to make a Jack and Jill plate story, listen to Fiddlers Three and taste tarts from Simple Simon. This special event is designed for children 18 months to four years and their families.

“A lot of children do not learn nursery rhymes these days and it leaves them at a disadvantage as they get older because many references in literature require knowledge of nursery rhymes,” said Jenette Dean, Early Childhood Manager at Creative Discovery Museum. “Children will never forget these nursery rhymes when they experience them in so many exciting, multi-sensory ways.”

Preschool Adventure Saturdays provide enriching Museum experiences for children ages 18 months to four years. Each activity will be educationally and developmentally appropriate, so children will experience the theme of the day in a variety of ways that will be exciting for them.
This event is included in paid admission to the museum.
