Stress-free parenting classes

by PRIDE Newsdesk

The counseling ministry of First Baptist Church Capitol Hill, 625 Rosa Parks Boulevard at Nelson Merry Street, will begin offering stress-free parenting classes for ages 1-4 years old and ages 5-12 years old.

“Many parents are living with anxiety, exhaustion and frustration,” stated ministry counselors.

“Most need to learn how to maintain their cool and provide a healthy, nurturing relationship with their children, teens and young adults.”  Thus, these classes were developed to do that. The active parenting classes will teach participants how to: discipline your child without violence; prevent problems, such as tantrums, bullying, etc.; build a loving bond with your child; childproof your home; care for your child at different ages and stages and care for yourself.

All classes will be held at First Baptist Church Capitol Hill in the Martin Luther King Hall of the church.

The parenting classes are provided fee of charge by the counseling ministry.  Pre-registration is required in order to receive the service.  To register contact the church office at 615-255-8757.
