A phenomenal man that leads by example in his daily walk and always keeps God first, Dr. Rubin Cockrell is not just an international speaker, author, entrepreneur and actual professor. He is a dynamic, multi-successful African American male who continues to defy all odds on the road to success. Part of what makes him different is his aura of confidence laced with humility. He constantly demonstrates the ability to securely team up or to successfully mix in with people on all levels.

Dr. Cockrell serves as CEO of Positive Images and Associates, a global firm that specializes in educational leadership, empowerment, and management consulting for clients in over 45 countries around the world. In his role with the Nashville, Tennessee based company, Dr. Cockrell trains global business leaders, college students, government entities and church groups to implement tools for achieving excellence and quality productivity within their personal life and their organization all across the world.

Before launching Positive Images & Associates, Dr. Cockrell spent years gaining experience in his field by working with churches, businesses and educational institutions around the country. It was through these experiences that Dr. Cockrell developed a special interest in exposing youth and adults to goal setting techniques and interpersonal development skills.

Dr. Cockrell went from being on the verge of being locked up for 15-20 years at the age of 20, to having four academic degrees, being dean of a university and starting a global consulting company by the age of 26. He prides himself in the ability to work with people from the “street to the elite” and the “classroom to the boardroom.”

Dr. Cockrell graduated from Fisk University in Nashville with a Bachelors of Arts degree in business, with an emphasis on finance and management. He then continued on to receive an M.Ed. in educational administration from Tennessee State University. Dr. Cockrell also received the distinguished Southern Regional Educational Board Doctoral Scholars Fellowship. He made history at TSU receiving his doctorate degree in two and a half years. Dr. Cockrell also received certification in leadership management in a joint partnership between Harvard and Strayer University while serving as dean at Strayer University.

In addition, Dr. Cockrell remains involved with numerous boards within the U.S. and overseas. He is actively involved with mentoring youth and adults around the world. In 2015, he was considered as one of the top alumni of the National Youth Sports Program in the country. Dr. Cockrell was recently selected as a member of 2016 Who’s Who amongst Covington’s International Business Leaders and 2016 Who’s Who amongst International Educator. He has received numerous awards and medals of honor from generals, CEOs and government leaders around the world.

He also practices the esteemed principles behind his successful book titled The Hidden Curriculum: Life Lessons You Won’t Learn in a Classroom.

His program tools for international intelligence reaches and teaches a myriad of students, all to enhance or build 21st century global leaders. From middle school children, tailored programs for entrepreneurs, to government, to C Suite executives, Dr. Rubin is an extraordinary Black man who has and continues to defy anything associated with failure.

He is a proud member of the Omega Phi Psi fraternity and is engaged to lovely author LaRhonda McLemore, who wrote The lessons Before the Blessings.
