The board of directors officially elected Peter C. Woolfolk as chairman of the board for the Middle Tennessee Better Business Bureau. Founded in 1961, this BBB serves 38 counties in Middle Tennessee and 7 southern counties in Southern Kentucky and has 5,300 members. It is one of 112 local, independent BBBs across North America.

The founder of Communications Strategies, a Nashville public relations and public affairs firm, Woolfolk became a BBB member in 2008. Since joining the BBB he has held numerous leadership positions in the organization. He first chaired the Student of Integrity Scholarship Awards program for several years. He then chaired other BBB programs including the 50th anniversary Celebration Dinner and the Torch Awards for Ethical Commerce for three years. He is a member of the executive committee and was corporate treasurer for two years.

“It is an honor to serve as the 2017/18 BBB Middle Tennessee board chair,” Woolfolk said. “I believe our local BBB is a model of outstanding leadership and management focused on one vital mission: to raise the standards of ethical commerce that builds consumer trust in our Middle Tennessee marketplace. I look forward to working with the board, our superb staff and with our 5,300 Accredited Businesses who proudly support ethical standards and display the BBB brand.”
