“Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made,” John 1:3.
There are times when my body craves to be in the presence of nature. For a while I did not realize the magnitude of why. Nature is the very representation of life. Little did I know that the more I embraced and appreciated my time in nature, discovering and admiring its beauty, the more I experienced the very presence of God’s divine nature.
We must understand that in a world that is constantly changing and troubled, there is something that never changes: the presence of an almighty God. God is omnipresent, which means God is everywhere. It is our responsibility and choice to allow God to abide within us. It becomes so easy to become distracted with the daily challenges of life that we rarely take the time to embrace the beauty and presence of God. The Glory of God is the great beauty that is exemplified here on earth. This Glory is achieved in our lives: His beauty, His creations, nature, and miracles. It is the true divine act and being of God that creates the Glory of God. “For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse,” Romans 1:20. We are without excuse to see and acknowledge the very Glory of God, because the evidence is in front of us every day.
As Christians, we must embrace God’s beauty in all that we do. Having the very patience and consciousness to acknowledge His presence will shift our spirit-person to such a higher dimension. God is a jealous God and wants our attention as much as possible. Taking time and giving attention to God and acknowledging His divine presence expands the environment of God’s glory. God receives the praise every time His creation moves in Him. That means when you choose to obey and follow God’s commandments and directions, God gets the glory. You may be tired and exhausted after a hard day of work, but you choosing to go and help your neighbor gives God glory and elevates your Spirit-man. God’s glory is His very presence, especially when we allow Him to abide in everything we do.
Imagine if we all took the time to make sure that God gets the glory. His presence would inhabit so many more people than not. His Glory and divine presence are contagious. Think about a time when you decided to hold the door open for someone walking into a store, and then it created a chain reaction for everyone behind you to do the same. The same can work with the Glory of God. When we all decide to acknowledge and abide in the very divine nature of God in all that we do, the very people in your surroundings are now influenced with God’s glory. Let’s allow God’s Glory to be shown and watch just how much our world changes.
“May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory,” Romans 15:5-7.
