Cancer: ‘My Journey In Time’
Prayer. Rev. Enoch Fuzz TSU Legacy Fund

Rev. Enoch Fuzz

While we pray for the country, continue to pray for Rev. Enoch Fuzz during his journey with cancer. This too is a goal of Rev. Fuzz—that all people continue to pray together.

He recognizes that there are many people praying on his behalf. Prayer for the country and prayer for the state of our lives as we knew it are all a focus of current prayers. Yet, he is also grateful for the time that so many people spend expressing their many thoughts and prayers on his behalf.

Along with other organized groups, Tennessee State University has chosen to express their prayers in recognition of this giving person by creating The Rev. Enoch Fuzz TSU Legacy Fund. This fund is to honor his life.

“It says ‘thank you’ to the good reverend and takes to heart what he has been preaching and saying these many years,” said Aubrey Harwell, Joe and Judy Barker. They have established and made the lead gifts to this most noted cause. “Its primary purpose is to help support student athletes at TSU and TSU athletic programs for these students and all students at TSU and the greater Nashville community by focusing on the greater development and promotion of the TSU basketball program.”

In developing this legacy fund, they recalled Rev. Fuzz quoting Ghandi in a recent conversation. Ghandi said: “I like your Christ, but not your Christians. I like your Christ, the Christians, the Jews, the Catholics, Protestants, atheists, rich, poor, KKK, idiots, Democrats, Republicans, even your red necks basketball teams.”

Knowing Fuzz, Harwell and the Barkers are content with the thought: “He likes us all, but it’s that last part that got us thinking—basketball.”

Rev. Fuzz has often been a liaison between the media and the actions of the community. The creation of this fund is yet another example of how he remains a pillar of North Nashville even during his illness.

The Rev. Enoch Fuzz Legacy Fund is dedicated to all students and student athletes at TSU with the belief that solid, honestly run athletic programs managed with integrity and skill are an integral part of the educational experience. The fund is not intended to act as a source of scholarships, however, student athletes may benefit collectively and individually from it.

Continue to pray for Rev. Enoch Fuzz in his journey with the diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer.

It is his desire that all people will not only pray, but also work to make life for others better. Following his journey is an effort to maintain the idea that we must keep praying and helping others.
