Rev. Enoch Fuzz
Over the past year, Rev. Enoch Fuzz, pastor of the Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, has experienced the ills of stage four lung cancer. But during this experience, he has always remained connected to the community. And the community continues to look to him for leadership and guidance.
As he continues to heal, Rev. Fuzz wants to remind the community that the OneNashville breakfast will resume on August 7. The lead topics will be Criminal Justice Reform; Police Community Services, and Religion; Race and Politics. Interested individuals are invited to Kingdom Café at 8 am for breakfast and an agenda that includes community awareness organizations and individuals.
“OneNashville is where solutions are made available,” said Fuzz. “OneNashville offers an opportunity to introduce and become a resource for the greater works to be done in Nashville.”
Rev. Fuzz continues with doctor appointments, medications, rest and doctor’s orders to maintain his strength and uphill climb to a complete and miraculous recovery from cancer. While battling with his health, Rev. Fuzz has never stopped listening to God’s voice instructing him to keep moving forward in his journey as a community advocate. God has plans for your life, too. When you complete those plans He has appointed to you, He entrusts you to get them done through all situations. This is because He already knows what you can do.
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future,’” Jeremiah 29:11. Fuzz’s plans include community advocacy. The message stays the same, while the method sometimes changes.
Upon seeing Rev. Fuzz, know that he is still working on his health. Yet he is still listing to God’s voice. He sometimes makes connections for the community one-on-one, sometimes two or three. It is now time to continue to make those connections in a safe environment as OneNashville resumes its monthly community awareness breakfast. When you plan to attend, also plan to consider all safety precautions such as vaccinations, hand sanitizing, some social distancing, wearing your mask, and other thoughtful discretions.
Listen to God’s voice. It tells us to pray. “Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you,” 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18.
