The Nashville Film Festival (NashFilm) is a globally-recognized non-profit organization and cultural event presenting the best in world cinema, American independent films and documentaries by veteran masters, up-and-coming directors, and first-time filmmakers. With Academy Award® qualifying status, the Nashville Film Festival celebrates innovation, music and the many voices of the human spirit through the art of film. Originally founded in 1969, the Nashville Film Festival is one of the first film festivals in the United States and will present its 52nd annual festival Sept. 30 – Oct. 6, 2021.
The expanded 2021 festival plan includes a full range of in-person screenings at venues throughout Nashville in addition to festival films, panels and Q&A’s securely online. The 52nd Nashville Film Festival extends their important goals to elevate and honor filmmakers, screenwriters, musicians and artists from around the world and here in Tennessee. This year’s festival will feature more than 150 films, Creators Conference panels, Q&A’s, the annual Music Program and other exclusive content in an engaging mix of in-person and online events.
In-Person events and screenings will be held at the following locations: RockeTown, Thursday, Sept. 30 through Sunday, October 3; at Belmont University on Monday, Ocotber 4; at Marathon Village on Tuesday, October 5; and at the Belcourt Cinema on Wednesday, October 6. Individual Tickets are on sale now. In-Person film screenings – $20 each. Quantities will be limited. Opening & Closing Night parties – $40 each. Individual Virtual screening tickets – $15 each. Some restrictions may apply, based on viewers’ location (in very limited cases). Creators Conference events – $10 each. Doors Open 30 minutes prior to screening. Tickets holders must be in line 20 minutes prior to guarantee entry. In the unlikely event that in-person events must be cancelled or relocated, exchanges or refunds will be made available.
Experience the NashFilm Music Program virtually. The 2021 Edition of the Music Program will feature events from Thursday, September 30 – Monday, October 4, 2021. Access to exclusive NashFilm Music Program virtual events and pro mentoring sessions will be available online through the end of the Festival.
The NashFilm Music Program was launched more than a decade ago to showcase the diverse music of Nashville to the Film, TV and Advertising sync communities, and is a part of the annual Nashville Film Festival. Through educational Music Supervisor panels, one-on-one mentorships, artist showcases, and VIP events, the objective of the committee is to bring more sync opportunities to the Nashville Community. These VIP events happen over the course of three days/nights in conjunction with Nashville Film Festival programming.
