You will feel better

Angel trees, toy drives and food give aways…there are many ways that we experience giving. While this is the season of giving, Fuzz’s journey, a few weeks ago, shared a story about Mae Olive Lusk and her gift of giving.

Last week, Fuzz’s journey shared the feature of giving through, “Nourish the Heart” that offers food to those in need through shopping at the Food Pharmacy, located in Metro Nashville General Hospital. With the help and leadership of Pastor Fuzz, over $100,000 was raised for the Food Pharmacy last year and over 60,000 meals were delivered to those in need during the tornado devastation as 300,000 people were served. Pastor

Fuzz feels the opportunity to share and be a part of giving at the Food Pharmacy is necessary. As he recognizes that it is good for the community, the Rev. E. Fuzz, pastor of Corinthian MBC, continues to lead the charge for “Nourish the Heart,” again this year. Yes, he is still in his journey with stage four lung cancer, yet, he feels the needs of the community to share in serving people food that is good to develop and maintain a healthy eating lifestyle. See more of the story from last week. Readers can also view a segment on News Channel 5 from a feature interview with Pastor Fuzz with Nick Beres.

Donating is a bit different as the Food Pharmacy purchases a variety of healthy foods. Therefore, it is requested that all donations would be monetary so that the Pharmacy can do the shopping. Those with a desire to give are encouraged to visit News Channel 5’s website (search ‘Nourish the Heart’) and use the QR Code to scan straight to the donation site.

As previously mentioned, the story of Mai Olive Lusk was shared as she is one who encourages people to do something different at Christmas time.

She has said in the past, “Give a gift to someone who you don’t know. Share with someone who wouldn’t expect it. Do something different in your ‘giving’.” This might require an adjustment in what you may be used to doing.

However, giving will make you feel better!

Thank you for your gift of prayers for Pastor Fuzz. He continues to pray for you in this season of giving, as you are a part of his journey. Visit his Facebook status where you will find him sharing his concerns, praise in pictures, testimony and song. As we continue to follow God’s guide, keep following his weekly journey, Cancer: My Journey in Time. And, a special note of thanks for continuing to read and share this journey. May it be a blessing in your life.
