Are you sure you’re living the life that God intends? Sometimes we go a lifetime not knowing if we are “doing the right thing,” according to what God wants us to do. We’re not always sure if the correct decisions were made along life’s journey. But sometimes we follow God’s voice and take the ride as it comes, even when it may not seem comfortable.
Rev. Enoch Fuzz, has been on a journey with stage four lung cancer since 2020. Throughout his life he has had challenges, seen and unseen. Yet this has been the most difficult, physically and mentally. But his spiritual health remains steadfast. During this latter part of his life, on Sunday, October 2,Rev. Fuzz will be celebrating his lifelong journey in ministry. For 49 years he has been a minister of God, and for 41 years he has been the pastor of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church.
Since the time he arrived in Nashville, by way of Memphis, Enoch Fuzz has been more than a spokesman for the ministry and for God’s word. He has served in the community as an advocate for those in need and spent 41 years as the shepherd of his flock at Corinthian.
When members, family and friends gather on Pastor’s Appreciation Sunday, 81 year old Rev. Basil Brooks of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church will travel from Cordova, Tenn. to deliver a special word to the congregation as special guest speaker. His age is mentioned as a reminder that God’s voice is heard for many years when we walk by God’s command.
It is indeed a blessing that Rev. Fuzz continues to serve as pastor of Corinthian Church while he is on a challenging journey with his health. He is extremely appreciative of all the people who pray for him and offer a plethora of services to him (personally and through ministry). It is also with great love and gratitude that Rev. Fuzz is celebrated for his continuous efforts to share his journey through the ‘good and the bad of it’ in life—while remaining steadfast in his faith. This show of appreciation is an indication that it’s always ‘the right choice’ when one follows God’s voice for their journey. There may be uncomfortable times along the way, yet we should remain steadfast in God’s will.
Continue to pray for Rev. Fuzz and his journey, and continue to pray for your individual journeys as well. Rev. Fuzz is always in continuous prayer for you and this world. The first weekend in October will also celebrate Rev. Fuzz’s birthday on October 1at Elliston Place Soda Shop from 2:30-4 pm. Check out Rev. Fuzz’s Facebook site as he gives praise through God’s word, songs and pictures. You will be blessed. Thanks for reading and sharing, ‘Cancer: My Journey in Time’ each week. May it be a blessing to you.
