Expressions of faith

My church

Bishop-Elect Dr. Monterey D. Lee, Sr.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land,” 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Read all of this text to get a good revelation and knowledge of God’s word.

This is the word of David as he dedicated the Temple that was built for God. It was Solomon who built the Temple in 1 Chronicles 28:3. Solomon prayed to God for blessings and favor for his people and on this holy dwelling place. God responded to Solomon with these words and others, reiterating his promises and blessings according to the covenant made previously with their fathers. God had plans to bless them from the very beginning, and He even had great plans for them if they would only repent. In truth, God would hear them always and forgive them.

What is the promise of God? Live a life that is totally committed to Him as a living sacrifice. We need to know the promise of God. So what is it as we stand between the porch and the alter?

What is the porch? The porch represents the flesh, the outer court of worship. The alter represents the spirit, the place of sacrifice, the place of giving up and rededicating one’s life back to God. We are at that place until the spirit of the Lord is poured out upon us from on high.

As leaders, what are we to fear from God? Set my people free and fulfill the will of God. We seek to live for God, not to please man, but Him and Him only. In the church, there is only two percent that can give a full understanding of the fulfilling will of God.

The church is not an organization but an organism. This is why we need Jesus to fulfill His will.

“Then came Jesus.”

No more sin offering, or burnt offering to God. We need something better. We need Jesus in the life of believers to have a relationship with the Father.

God wants people who believe, not just hear. But we desire more from the Lord. Who can the church move on and complete the will of God if we don’t know God?

Jesus is the kind of God that will go all the way with you. The Father is looking for people that will do His will to see the kingdom come to pass.

What did Jesus came to do?

  1. To have God’s people seek Him (Matthew 7:1-3)
  2. To give people the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8; John 14:26)
  3. To build the church in you as a new life (Matthew 16:18)
  4. To give you His Spirit, His house, His way and His life
  5. Jesus came to give Himself to all mankind as a living sacrifice.

Call Him when you need Him because His will must be done. “Not my will but Yours will be done,” Luke 22:44.

“I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Here am I Lord, send me,” Isaiah 6:8.

The church is here because of the blood of Jesus.

“Forget what is behind you and strain toward what is ahead,” Philippians 3:13.

Be the church that the Lord can use for His glory.
