Pink Christmas honors survivors of breast cancer with Mother’s Day Award

Pink Christmas is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports women who are diagnosed with breast cancer in the Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee communities. Pink Christmas also provides Scholarships to graduate students studying breast cancer research.

This year, Pink Christmas introduced the Mother’s Day Award to recognize mothers who are going through treatment for breast cancer or survivors of breast cancer. Information was requested from local churches and other community organizations to recruit people to apply for the scholarship. Eight individuals applied for the scholarship. Two women were awarded $1,000 and six applicants received $100 gift cards.
