Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center (MWCHC), Nashville’s oldest non-profit health center, is partnering with Cumulus Media’s 92Q, Nashville’s premier radio station for R&B and throwbacks, to celebrate ‘Take a Loved One to the Doctor Day. The event is free to the public and takes place Tuesday, September 19 from 8:30 am–5 pm at MWCHC’s Nashville clinic at 1035 14th Ave. N.
‘Take a Loved One to the Doctor Day’ is a reminder for Middle Tennesseans to not only take care of themselves, but also those they love. Making sure our children, parents, spouses and friends are seen by trained medical providers and receive preventative tests helps us all remain present and healthy for one another.
“This day is an opportunity for us to activate and engage with our loved ones and our community about our health,” said Katina Beard, CEO of MWCHC. “A healthy individual creates a healthy family which contributes to a healthy community. MWCHC and our partner 92Q are joining the best of our worlds, health care and entertainment, to enlighten, educate and serve!”
Kenny Smoov, vice president of Urban Programming, Cumulus Media, and On-Air Talent, The Kenny Smoov Morning Show, said: “92Q is all about Community and Culture, and it’s our goal to help drive home messaging about preventative medical care with our health partners at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center.”
MWCHC and 92Q encourages everyone to bring those closest to them to MWCHC to ensure a healthier community for them and their loved ones. To celebrate the occasion, DJs from 92Q will be at MWCHC’s Nashville clinic throughout the day chatting with community members, and medical staff will offer free dental screenings and blood pressure screenings in the lobby.
Call MWCHC at 615-327-9400 to schedule a medical or dental appointment for September 19. For those who cannot make it on September 19, appointments are also available on other days at MWCHC’s clinics in Nashville, Clarksville and Smyrna.
