Mind of humility

Bishop-Elect Dr. Monterey D. Lee, Sr.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the from of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God,” Philippians 2:5.

We are to be the people that God wants us to be in His kingdom for His will. What about our country and other people? Are we to live a life before others in the freedom of God for all people to inquire more information on how to receive such freedom? We must show this not only today in the world but each day as we take on the mind of Christ, because our bodies must show forth the life of God. God created us as the very existence of God in the earth. We must be of God, because this is the fullness of God [as you] in the world.

“Who being the brightness of His glory, lived to show the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,” Hebrews 1:3.

“But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men,” Philippians 2:7.

The Lord Jesus Christ came to serve as a servant to God and to the people of God.

We must show the same love for God in the earth that Jesus did for us all. We must show the express image of the person of Jesus Christ and uphold all things by the word of His power.

“Being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross,” Philippians 2:8.

Jesus humbled Himself for the sins of all humanity, likewise the sin of all mankind—so we would walk in the fullness of God to be a free people unto Christ, with the sin of this world removed from us. For we are, with Christ, highly exalted by God.

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name,” Philippians 2:9.

Jesus is exalted by God, so we can be exalted in Jesus Christ. At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. Every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Obedience brings glory to the Father just like the death of Christ, which is His chief glory. This life glorifies the Father. All of the doings of Christ, the glorious attributes of Christ, brings glory to the Father. This is why your life is to bring glory to the Father by the way you live. Whatever you have been called to do, exemplify (embody, represent, and symbolize) the will of the father’s call on your life. Jesus did this to the glory of the Father, so the world would know that He is Lord to the glory of God.

“That at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in the earth, and things under the earth. Every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father,” Philippians 2:10-11.

Even those who do not believe in Him will acknowledge and admit that He is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Let’s live the life that God has prepared for us though Jesus Christ or Lord.
