Tinney Contemporary Gallery celebrates its twentieth year by showcasing an expansive group exhibition, TINNEY/20, kicking off its 2026 program, on display from January 10 through February 14, 2026, with works by over 50 painters, sculptors, and photographers living and working in Tennessee who have exhibited works with the gallery, in its various incarnations, over the past two decades. The exhibition will be a moment to reflect on the gallery’s enduring legacy as a reliable institution whose voice has helped define the vibrant visual arts community in Nashville.
TINNEY has occupied its current space at 237 Rep. John Lewis Way North, in downtown Nashville since 2006, when Susan Tinney sought a permanent location for her habitual pop-up exhibitions, which had taken place in her living room and in the homes of friends. Since then, an engaged coterie of makers, collectors, and enthusiasts have propagated in and around the gallery. This “recollection” is a celebration of the joys of making and sharing work, of survival, and of what they continue to cultivate together.

The opening reception is Saturday, January 10, 2 – 9 PM, in conjunction with the Downtown Arts District’s Second Saturday Art Crawl (SSAC). RADAR615 is a new reimaging of the Zeitgeist Gallery space at 516 Hagan Street in the Wedgewood / Houston district. Led by Lain York, RADAR615 will be a collaborative effort with the MZA designers as a project space, to reimagine what they have been doing, get back to what the original design / gallery space began as, and continue exploring how they can make a difference in our community.
They will roll out mixed-disciplinary collaborations and performances, opening discussions about what folks in the creative scene do, what this means for community building, and how these networks touch all Nashvillians. Join RADAR615 as they open for the January 2026 WeHo (Wedgewood/Houston) Art Crawl with Guts Galore (from Detroit to Nashville) a DJ, rap/spoken word, light, and video session; McLean Fahnestock (video/sculpture installation); and Beth Reitmeyer (video/sculpture). Crawl hours at RADAR615 are Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
