Based on the screenplay by Frank Capra, Frances Goodrich, Albert Hackett and Jo Swerling and the story “The Greatest Gift” by Philip Van Doren Stern, and adapted by Catherine Bush, Nashville Rep presents “It’s a Wonderful Life” at downtown Nashville’s Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC), running December 5 through 21, 2025 in TPAC’s Polk Theater.
One fateful Christmas Eve, George Bailey stands on the edge of despair — until an angel named Clarence takes him on a journey through a world where he never existed. What he discovers is nothing short of a miracle. “It’s a Wonderful Life” is a heartwarming tale about purpose, community, and the extraordinary impact of an ordinary life. This heartwarming stage adaptation of the classic holiday film reminds us all that no one is truly alone and that the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference.
Tamiko Robinson Steele portrays the love of George’s life, Mary Hatch Bailey and Jennifer Whitcomb-Oliva portrays Clarence, among other roles for each.
